Here my first attempt to bash kit's beams with an orizontally oriented sandwich instead of the much more visible vertical one of the genuine part came with the kit. Thickness (8 mm) is now also correct accordingly to Antscherl's design. Just check how bad the laser cut notch is placed in the raw part.

A few upgrades from my workshop. I think I worked out a solution to sandwiches-made beam hugly appearence. I glued a thin cherry veneer to the upper face of every beam with quite nice achivement. I also built from scratch some other parts, such carlings, mast partners and the pawl post as well. Altough well designed, correctly downscaled and precisely lasercut, many parts tend to come too tiny once polished and let free from char. Intricate parts, as the pump carling assembly are also almost impossibile to be sanded properly. Here some pics. Glad to have your opinion, mates. Cheers. Alberto
