Hello Christian, The deck of the Amarante isn’t any larger, nor does it run all the way through. The aft deck and the foredeck are slightly higher; the decks are arranged in steps.

Scuppers are made in one piece, just like in real life. With round scuppers, it was not a problem to make a round hole at an angle into the side of the hull. It was a bit more complicated with a square scupper.

I made timber-heads and posts for supporting the quarterdeck guardrail. They will be installed later. The gunwales and quarterdeck guardrail will be made of black hornbeam later.
