Now I understood
Shown here are the carriage with the bed, but without the wedge/Quoin which has usually the knop for fineadjustment of the muzzle - on all three guns the quoins are missing
The wedges are quoins, and they are the tool used to change the elevation of a gun when positioning it for firing. Using handspikes for leverage, the gun crew would lift the breech (back of the gun) up, allowing the quoin to be moved in or out.
Under the quoin is the bed, which was during action fixed (fixed over some edges against the axis of the carriage. This bed was removed to get the higher angle of the muzzle only when the gun was fixed and secured
I found this sketch also showing the quoin on top of the bed - both in yellow (sorry Mirek: I hope these info are ok for you inside your building log?)

Witaj nic mi nie przeszkadza wręcz przeciwnie wiedzy nigdy za dużo. Teraz zastanawiam się nad liną do kotwicy jaka powinna być prawidłowa grubość bo nie znalazłem nic w monografii chyba że przeoczyłem . Też liny na wanty która jest na str. 101 pierwsze mają 125 fi czyli w skali 1:48 2,6 mm drugie 135 czyli w skali 2,8 wydaje mi się trochę za gruba chyba że źle obliczam skale. Mam tyle wątpliwości i proszę o pomoc , Pozdrawiam Mirek
Hello, nothing bothers me, on the contrary, knowledge is never too much. Now I am wondering about the anchor line what the correct thickness should be because I did not find anything in the monograph unless I missed it. Also the ropes for twigs on page 101, the first are 125 fi, i.e. in the scale 1:48 2.6 mm, the second 135, i.e. in the 2.8 scale, it seems a bit too thick to me, unless I calculate the scales incorrectly. I have so many doubts and I am asking for help, Regards Mirek

Greetings, mon ami. On the sketch, you found, showing Brit (Engish) carriage. Construction are different in principal for English and continental carriadges. In English design, the quoins goes on top of stool bed, while French has wadge and quoins, perhaps this might be reffreing to that same name.

Nie potrzebnie przeliczasz 125mm to już rozmiar w 1/48. Na końcu jest tabelka przedstawiająca rzeczywiste rozmiary w calach i mm a na następnej stronie masz kolejną tabelkę która przelicza oryginalne wymiary na mm w 1/48
You do not need to convert 125mm, it's already the size in 1/48. At the end there is a table showing the actual sizes in inches and mm and on the next page you have another table that converts the original dimensions to mm in 1/48

All ornaments are made by the boatbuilder on a printer, their quality is sensational.
to są rzeczy których używam do malowania dekorów. Najpierw maluje białym akrylem jako podkład, potem szelakiem tym w środku jest on gęściejszy i robi doskonałą bazę pod nakładanie ostatniego szelaku który jest w kolorze statku. Nakładam kilka cienkich warstw aż do uzyskania pożądanego efektu
these are the things I use to paint decors. First he paints with white acrylic as a primer, then the shellac in the middle is thicker and makes a perfect base for applying the last shellac which is the color of the ship. I apply several thin layers until I get the desired effect
