Hello everyone!

Thank you so much for your likes and kind words. I'm very happy that you like my work. Many thanks to Karl! After finishing the Fly, I remodeled the room, about 15 square meters, exactly how I've always wanted it I continued transferring the waterline plan. The frames were also transferred to it, the sheer board was cut out, and everything was aligned. This (hopefully) provides a good foundation for setting the frames.

Very nice workshop, beautiful board. Keep in mind that your frames are still slightly oversized, so either lower your board a little or sand it down by 1 millimeter.

Thanks Tobias for your tips.
Lowering the plank is one option. I'll sand the frames to the exact shape at the height of the board. That way, the board stays at the specified height, and the frames will still fit perfectly.

The construction of the frames is progressing well.





I have a quick question for everyone. It concerns the infill pieces between the frames that have a drainage groove. These positions aren't marked on the plans. However, I assume the A'rtésien also had them. Is there a specific arrangement or position for these drainage grooves?

The plans for La Salamandre by Boudroit showed their location. I don't know if there is a formula or accepted practice for their location.

On Salamandre, they seemed to follow somewhat the turn of the bilges (this may just be coincidence)?

Hi Andreas, you're right, I just looked through the plans, nothing. According to G. Delacroix, there is no specification for how many rows there can be, and there can even be none.

Thank you so much for your help, I really appreciate it. According to this, the A'rtésien doesn't have any drainage grooves if none are marked. Mecanizados, who posted this on the forum, included two rows of these grooves on his A'rtésien. Perhaps he followed the instructions in Boudriot's 74 series.

Daniel Forlani seems to be following the thrusts; perhaps that's a small clue.

Gerard also follows this pattern of frame joints; I just looked at some pictures of Le Rochefort again, and it's the same there. So I think it's a good starting point.
