Le Fleuron 1729 scale 1/75 - Boudriot & Delacroix

So many things to be impressed by… the inside-outside planking, the perfectly reproduced “polish” effect on the outer parts of the cannons. The 52,000 dowels… thank you for sharing

To complete the first deck, I only need to add 12x 8lb cannons and anchor ropes.

I'm a little disappointed that I underestimated the lighting and all the work on this deck will never be seen again. :(

To fix my taste, I made the bowsprit

I wonder how long it will last. I already managed to break the flag holder. ROTF

Fortunately, it was easy to fix.

Thank you for your feedback, it was very encouraging.:)

Preparation for the second deck with cannons - 12lb cannon 26 pieces + 1 piece.

Yesterday was another Christmas. I received a package from a friend for the second time. I felt like a five-year-old boy whose dream had come true. A beautiful dream.
I eagerly opened the large box and there were many carefully wrapped parts inside that needed to be put together.

I immediately started assembling it according to the perfect manual he sent me by email.
And here is the result.

Ropewalk

The second is a rope wrapping machine with various attachments, interchangeable motors, and a knitting device on the Stays Mouse.

The icing on the cake is the logo on both devices that he made for me.

And as a bonus, a printed figure. That was a big surprise.

I'm starting to give up on the original idea of making it out of boxwood. I can't do it in that much detail.

Thank you, friend.

Beautiful figurehead!! Tough to carve to that detail but wood would look nice.

Looking forward to see if you paint/stain that in any way??

Thanks @BradNSW.

I'll try painting it, but of course I'll also try carving it. I just need to work up some courage. ROTF

I tried Ropewalk yesterday. I was a little scared, but I didn't need to be. It works fantastic.

What a great friend you have!!!

Does your friend offer, for sale, drawings (CAD) and/or STL files for the rope walk and serving machine?

I also suggested that he sell it. But he said no. If he starts selling it, work will stop being fun.

Hello everyone.
Can anyone advise me on how to knit a rope for an anchor. I need to knit a 2mm rope. I have Gütermann E151 threads for knitting.
How many strands should I stretch with if I want to use three strands. Or should I start with small strands, for example 0.5mm, and then knit them together?
