As is my habit, I took a break from carving and finished the easel.



The reason I made the boat nameplate like this is because I mainly wanted to cover the 9V battery.

Slowly but surely the deck equipment is coming to an end. The last deck that I was missing was the Gangway and its stairs.





For me, soldering is probably the hardest thing. I'll probably never learn it, but I'm glad I managed to do it this way.




Well, here are the last two stairs (ladders) to the top deck.

Since I had all the decks finished, I started installing the interior railings. First, I glued the previously made front railing, including the large bell.

And finally, the last one at the back. That was probably the hardest for me. My imagination had to play a little, because my skill failed. The carved decorations are my invention and I strayed quite far from the original. I am convinced that there are people who can do it, but I am not one of them. But on the other hand, I am glad that it turned out this way.

I finally forced myself to finish the second bouquet, which complements the back decoration by the lantern.
I don't really like repetitive work, I prefer to always do something new.

And now, I have thrown myself into decorating the side of the balcony. I wonder when I will get around to doing round two on the other side

Today I will add only two photos. I continue with carving the decoration on the balcony. I don't miss much and I will have the entire mirror finished.




I had a pretty serious incident with the winged coat of arms. I laugh now, but before that I was about to cry.
I wanted to polish the finished coat of arms before sticking it on the balcony. When I approached the coat of arms with the spinning felt disc, it flew out of my fingers at such a tremendous speed straight into the wall that I almost lost my breath. I work in a 1.6 x 1.6 meter room and for a good 30 minutes I couldn't find the coat of arms. I was really about to cry. A whole 6 hours of work was wasted.
But then a miracle happened and I found the coat of arms undamaged.

You are lucky the "carpet gremlins" didn't take your wonderful coat of arms and furnish their hidden home! I've lost a few to these "gremlins". It seems they tire of them after a few weeks or months and then return them to the workbench in some unexpected place...

I am in awe of your stern decorations. Such detail!! Much admiration for your patience and skill.
