Le Requin by Zhl - MY FIRST POF MODEL

The hold hatch in the project was completely closed (obviously it didn't even include the support frame). I didn't like it because it prevented seeing the inside right where the foot of the main mast is, so I cut the covering panel eliminating 1/4 of it and I built the support frame. Now I like it.:)

The oven: the structure was divided into two parts, on one side there was the grill and the rotisserie for cooking meat, on the other the pots were used for boiling foods. This side was equipped with doors that served to concentrate the heat to facilitate boiling but underneath there was still a slit to allow the flow of air which fed the fire.
Above the hoods there were hoods that served to regulate the draft.

I cannot speak for French carriages, but the bracket thickness and truck thickness was about the same dimension of the bore of the gun on English carriages. I am traveling without access to the charts I have with these dimensions, sorry.

I don't like the ropes provided in the kit, so I ordered a much better type. They really are expensive so thinking to new model buildings soon I'll buy a rope making machine. In the meantime I started to study rigging plans and I realized i'm in trouble as they are a big mess and strongly incomplete.
