Looking great, Dan, your patience and perseverance paid off quite handsomely.

Seeing that transom made me remember a certain South African, who was also building a Xebec and considered implementing a helideck on the transom. Unfortunately this idea never bore fruit. Maybe something for you to add on as a nice customization to your Xebec and possibly even adding a Sikorsky Sea Dragon on mentioned deck?

Finally, back to my very fine Zebec. For better access, I removed from the jig its thinner crossing elements which completely opens up the interior. Next I set the three pieces making up the keelson, I had previously spent several hours filing the char off each rib location and test fitting lots of times so all 90 ribs fit in comfortably.

While I still have a lot to do on the transom, I instead began setting the clamp strakes on the aft upper deck section which when completed will allow me accurately to set some intermediate ribs which will have to rely on the clamp strake for their proper alignment. These five short ribs on each side fill in this area solid which gets a port hole of sorts cut into it. Now what's interesting is you cannot set these four little ribs with the upper level of the jig in place; it must be removed so I figured better go with the clamp strakes now. Here is what I am talking about, by the way they do not mention this build sequence anywhere.

The clamp strakes as well as all the internal strakes are 1x5mm pear, which is fairly stout, so I soaked and pre bent them for installation. I used my favorite bending helper a curling iron, it gets very hot and works like a champ.

Congrats on a BIG milestone, Daniel! Potting shed???? I expected you to say it was your new "sanding station", after finishing your hull framing.ROTF
