Well, the saga continues… the progress on my knee flexion has stalled.

Had my 6 week post-op with the doc on Monday. Progress is stalled at about 80° so… I’m scheduled for “arthroscopic manipulation under anesthesia with lysis of adhesions” next week Tuesday.
I understand he’ll go in with a arthroscope and cut/remove scar tissue that is preventing my knee from flexing. and they also aggressively manipulate my leg to stretch out my quad, hamstring and calf. Then it’ll be daily PT for a couple of weeks. Oh, the fun never ends!

So to pass the time I did get another small kit to work from my recliner.
It’s a POF 18th Century Longboat by Model Expo.


Here’s hoping I’m back on my feet shortly!

I'm sorry to hear about the lack of progress on your knee. As a veteran of 4 knee surgeries (same knee) I feel your pain (literally).

My kids gave me the Ancre monograph for a longboat - it's on my short list of future builds.

Thanks Paul. I looked at the Ancre offering but really needed something that was simple to keep me occupied… I can only read so many books and watch so many reruns of “Midsomer Murders”

Oh yes, you certainly need to be working with a kit in your current situation. I also see some pain meds on the horizon - surgically assisted manipulation is no joke. They did this on my wife's friend for a frozen shoulder, and it was rough afterwards.

I am presently just carving on a block of wood - perhaps I'll pop out to Tahoe and keep you company .

Come on over! The beer is cold and there are several choices of Scotch available. The wine choices are, however, pretty dismal!
