Iniziato i primi 2 corsi di serrette di legatura della stiva procedendo da poppa verso prua mi sorge un dubbio a riguardo :

come sia possibile collegare le serrette con la contro ruota se questa risulta essere a filo degli scalmi ?
Oppure ho sbagliato io nel realizzare la prua ?'

Ti ringrazio , si entrambi stiamo usando la stessa monografia con l'unica eccezzione che Nigel usa la scala maggiore rispetto al 1:48 che uso io contro 1.36 della sua realizzazione .

We have both built this area exactly the same.However I feel the drawing is wrong/unclear.I plan to fit another timber that follows the back of the keel and sits flush with the step on the floor of the first frame.This will provide a neat and possibly more typical appearance on the inside.I do not believe the internal planking would run all the way to the ships centreline as this is not typical construction.I was aware of this early on but chose to follow the drawing as it made the internal surfaces easier to sand.Once everything is in place it will not show as a separate piece.This has deliberately left off for now, when the upper section of the prow is in place I plan to drill and fit brass dowels through this are into the prow.The timber I will then fit will cover the dowel ends.

con piacere noto che siamo giunti alla stessa conclusione che la monografia in questa zona è abbastanza poco chiara e di difficile lettura , propio per questo mi avrebbe fatto piacere rivolgere il mio quesito direttamente con l'autore stesso per avere delucidazioni in merito , naturalmente se fosse stato possibile .

Detto questo anche con una persona a me cara , siamo giunti entrambi a questa conclusione , che difficilmente le monografie non sono prive di errori , ai quali dovrebbe venire in aiuto la conoscenza e il sapere della materia che dovrebbe fare parte del nostro bagaglio come mi è stato fatto notare e fatto capire .
Ma naturalmente come sempre dagli errori si colgono i migliori insegnamenti .

Detto ciò molto sicuramente ero propenso a adottare la stessa linea che hai appena descritto aggiungendo una falsa contro ruota che verrà poi camufatta sotto il forcaccio e le 5 ghirlande che verranno posizionate nel proseguo dei lavori .
