That sounds great!

Hi Vic
I had a look this morning and see that Amati makes 17th century canons that seem quite nice
Size is 36mm, but they also have smaller (28mm) and larger (45mm)
See https://store.amatimodel.com/en/sma...oduct-metal-decorated-barrels-mm36-b4169.html
Let me know what you think
I’ll take a look, but I have a feeling I’m going to stick with what I’ve got. I’ve found a way to make the present guns work. If I were going to keep the ship, I’d do my best to make it look like the original. My daughter and her friends will never know the difference. If I have time later on and can still get the ship to her by Christmas, I may change out the barrels. Thanks for looking this up.

Hello Vic- those hand made eyebolts are super good- something I am going to try and improve ..my existing metal bending and work is horrendous- well done. Cheers
I use round nosed needle nose pliers made for working with jewelry. I was going to use store bought, but they were too big and clunky for the gun carriages. 26 gauge wire is thin and easy to shape.

I don't know how you do it. At that size of block I only put in the breach line. Congratulations.
I decided not to strop the blocks with wire. They tend to fly through the air and embed themselves in the carpet when I make a twist of the wire. Instead, I stropped the blocks with thread. I watched Olha’s video on rigging. I’m not there yet. Maybe one day.
