When I put down the walkway, it wouldn’t lie snug on the elbows beneath so the glue would set. I drilled some holes and put in some tiny nails. Now it’s snug.

Sanding ladder steps down from 2mm to 1mm thick is tedious. I finally resorted to using the Dremel instead of the sanding block. 
The instructions say to place the ladders going down to the gun deck right behind the gun ports. Somehow I don’t think that will work. 
I’m confused about this…why not just use a 1mm thick board?

Yes that is an issue!! The way the layout on the kit the steps will not work there actually there is nowhere to put them! Have you figured out how they got down from the gun deck? Being fuchsias I guess they had to jump !!!
I’m planning on putting them between the guns. Otherwise, the guns would be in the way.
I don’t have any 1mm. The other reason I’ll use the supplied boards is because they fit length and width-wise. Just not thickness.I’m confused about this…why not just use a 1mm thick board?

Building the boats will be a lot like building my Galilee Boat or a canoe. 
Ladders are done! Woot!
The oars needs some serious sanding. Rounded the handles and trimmed the paddles.
