Seldom it will get hotter than 90F, 100F is almost unheard of. Right now we're enjoying a nice spell of summer, 85F.
Remember a stay in Fort Worth a few years back, 110F...

Making the yards on my 18 inch lathe. The main yard was too long, so I had to use the drill.

First, I used the small gouge. Then I used two sanding blocks, one on each side. Finally, I used my wife’s nail buffer/sandpaper thingee to get a smooth finish.

Free hand= art! Nicely done. Of course if I used my wife's nail buffer, she would buff my face with it afterwards!

Lesson learned: build tressel tree before installing mast. It’s easier to square the top of the mast while off the ship. I can use my my Proxxon vice and Dremel to square when it’s off the ship.
