Thanks. She is really looking like a SR now, Vic. Well done!
That is brilliant. Something to treasure. Some of my books are almost 200 years old. I have a Bible from 1834. I’ve got Dickens from close to first edition. A friend was doing remodeling on an old house in New York and found many of these books. The people who had lived their were several generations of teachers.
Precisely. I wish my descendants thought so.That is brilliant. Something to treasure.
I thought the leading edges of the bow decking looked a little rough, so I used some decking material to trim the edges.

I had to do that on the corners between the balconies too. It just didn’t look finished.I have found on mine that there are a lot of places that could use some wood trim.
I'm using a stand that came with a different model. Just fold an old t shirt over for a pad. Onward and upward....It’s getting heavier already. I added polyurethane on the starboard side and bow. Next, I’ll add the grate. I think I’ll paint the bow grate black. It’s either that or stain the plywood grate. I wish I had painted the plywood bulkhead black before planking it. The planks shrank a bit and the plywood shows through when the light shines directly on it.
When I start adding metal ornaments, I don’t think my adjustable vise will be able to hold the ship. I’ll probably have to put it on a slip or on the supplied stand.
You might want to fit the gratings first.... if not too late. It takes a little shaving.Progress so far. View attachment 270010
