Yes. The switches are so constructed that both need to have the same stand. "I" for RH rope or "II" for LH cable.

I missed that. All the rope I’ve made so far I did not spin the wiel when I did the last wind with the Bok. And the ropes turning out awesome

The reason why the last part of the rope looks loose and why you needed to go to 13%.

@Steef66 I guess also with your machine it would be possible to use a rolling swivel instead using the 2nd machine, correct? In my experience, better said with my setup I need the second motor explicitly for smaller rope everything above 0.6 mm works with the rolling swivel, what is a bit easier then.

I saw those arguments and discussions on the German forum as well. One person makes rope using a free spindle, while the other uses a motor, just like me. The text and video I’m including with the machine refer to this specific machine. I support this method because that’s how I do it, and it delivers good results. It’s the way Ohla Batcharov explained it in her descriptions, and that’s the method I adopted back then. It’s the same as someone designing a vertical one, or an endless rope walk. But you’re welcome to do it a different way. All methods are fine as long as the rope turns out well.

As I wrote I do it both ways, and it is worth and will work to try it out with your machine. There is no "or", it could be just an addition and/or option to try out. The nice thing with the free spindle is, it starts by itself when the tension is right.



0.8 Hawser and 1.2 cable with rolling swivel (free spindel) from today, I get the same result with motor though :-D

Very nice looking rope Dubz Modelling World.

Today I purchased a remote PowerPoint so I can turn both the Bok and wiel on at the same time. There was no way I could do this with the Bok and Weil over 4 meter apart.

I’m also considering extending the distance from Bok to the wein to apx 7 meters apart.

Wie ich bereits schrieb, wende ich beide Methoden an, und es lohnt sich, es mit Ihrer Maschine auszuprobieren. Es gibt kein „oder“, es könnte einfach eine zusätzliche Option zum Testen sein. Der Vorteil der Freilaufspindel ist, dass sie von selbst anläuft, sobald die Spannung stimmt.



Mit 0,8-mm-Trimmer und 1,2-mm-Kabel mit Rollwirbel (freilaufende Spindel) erhalte ich seit heute das gleiche Ergebnis mit Motor :-D

If you want to make rope for a stay and you want it twisted a bit tighter (more twists per cm), which also makes it stiffer, you can use the adjustment screw on the “KLOS”. It’s perfect for this. Start small, with just a little resistance. You can feel this by moving the “KLOS” along the cable and tightening the screw by one-tenth of a turn each time. You’ll see that even a little resistance makes a big difference.
