That is a FINE looking stern Sasha! Congratulations!
Good morning Sasha. Everything is so correct and wonderfully made on your Victory. I have to ask the question tho? Painted gunport covers? It just jumps out at me. Cheers GrantGood afternoon. Thank you all for the likes and comments. I didn't disappear. It's just that the work I'm doing now takes a lot of time and it's very responsible. These are the upper rails of the bow. In the magazine, this part is made of plywood, and of course I replaced it with a black hornbeam. This part consists of 5 elements.

Now I need to make a continuation to the port side and then make a decorative regel from a yellow hornbeam on top. Work continues
Grant, hi. Thank you. The port covers were black. This is written in Longridge's book: "The outside of the port covers were painted black", so they are black for meGood morning Sasha. Good morning Sasha. Apologies for this misunderstanding. I meant are you not going to cut them out and reinsert or make some indication of a closed gunport. To me the current appearance with the gunport just painted on the hull does not give it an appearance of the closed gunport. Your colour and positioning pattern is perfect. You may still be getting there and I'm just jumping the gun so to speak. Cheers GrantGrant, hi. Thank you. The port covers were black. Grant, hi. The lids will still have hinges and hoists with which the lids were liftedGood morning Sasha. Apologies for this misunderstanding. Yes, excellent work! This is a case where gaps might help!Sasha, let me try to help with the translation issue...
@GrantTyler - the gun port covers are not merely painted on. They once looked like this:
And then covers were added like this:
He just fit them so precisely they look like they were merely painted in place. Don't try this at home - it's only for the professionals!
Oh thanks Paul.Sasha, let me try to help with the translation issue...

Makes perfect sense to me! Wonderful work here Sasha!Oh thanks Paul.
I really did not make full-fledged covers, as they really were, because I don’t see the point in this. All ports are closed
Hi Sasha - now I get it. Your perfection is just too perfect. I don’t know how I missed this but my ignorant posts are clearly a tribute to how perfect you did this. Amazing Sasha-. Cheers GrantSasha, let me try to help with the translation issue...

There appear to be scuppers on the wales in some cases.Friends, good afternoon.
I turn to you for help.
I want to make scuppers on Victory to drain water from the decks. Here is an example

This is to understand what is at stake.
Information about their presence, quantity and location is very different. In the book that I have, they are indicated only on the handeck and operdeck, 8 pieces per board. Even have their diameter. But the location is not specified. Again - there are no scuppers on the mid-deck. In the anatomy of Longridge, it is only indicated that they are in the sides. On the current model, they are completely absent. After the next reconstruction, they were removed, leaving 1 in the area of the admiral's entrance. It seems that I read that the model Victory, which was performed by Slade , has these scuppers, but I cannot find such a model in my segment of the Internet.
I will be glad for any help.
