Model VICTORY by Deagostini, scale 1/84

Friends, hello everyone! I'm not progressing that fast. I am working on the manufacture of yufers shackles, details of shrouds and gun port cover hinges. This work is quite monotonous and boring.

With port loops, I did not invent anything new. Those that are in the blank set, bent the edges, glued to the port cover
Drill drilled a hole

Inserted nails

Then rounded the ends with a cup burr

And this is the result

In the lower holes, then you will need to make a butt with a ring, for the hoists that raised this cover

Work in progress looks something like this

I also wanted to show how I paint the lufers.
In fact, I do not paint them, but boil them in oil.
We take a small dish, pour oil into it (I have tung oil), put it on the stove. When the oil is hot, throw the yufers into it. Minutes through 1 - 2 we receive here such result. In a box for comparison, the ufers that was at the beginning

Great work Sasha. Maintaining your usual standard of excellence - even when the work is monotonous and boring - is the true hallmark of a master.

That's an interesting way to blacken wooden blocks.
(I handpainted quite a few for another build.)

Very good work on the hinches - Bravo
How much still to make? I do not like these 100-gunners - much too much lids to make ;)
Exactly why I'll never build anything over 10 guns, boring to infinity and too many possibilities to mess up

Hi all. I'm still not progressing that fast. Methodical work with small elements in large numbers. forgings of lufers, shrouds and loops of gun ports.
In these photos, the work on the manufacture of the binding of the yufers. Details of vant putens are made using the same technology

Good morning Sasha. You are at that stage now where you have to make a multitude of fittings,…never seems to end Whew !. I’m so glad you made your own parts here as most kits get them wrong. Your attention to accuracy is commendable. My favourite Victory continues…:D. Cheers Grant
