It's always a pleasure to see your work Sasha. The buoy is wonderful, love the details.
What is on the laser cut board, is it from deagostini or some custom made?

VojtasS these are keel blocks for boats from DeAgostini. They are made of plywood. I threw them away and made others from black hornbeamIt's always a pleasure to see your work Sasha. The buoy is wonderful, love the details.

Barges are soo nice!Hello everyone. I made a 28-foot pinnace. The technology is exactly the same as with the other boats. I made a blank, sheathed it with frames, then with sheathing slats. After that, the internal filling. And installed all the boats in their place on the deck.

Paul, it's a question of philosophy and approaches to construction. For me it makes no difference whether I made a model for myself or for a customer. All other things being equal. This model has a high degree of alterations and detailing. The previous model of the schooner "Albatross" was a more budget version, but I still couldn't just assemble it from the box (it was pure garbage).Lovely work my friend. How you put so much love into a ship that you won't be keeping is difficult for me to imagine....
Well, it's still a clear labor of love. To pay you fairly for the work you are putting into this model is impossible. Or maybe I misunderstand the prices being paid for models made by master builders in Russia... I know that no one would pay my asking price for the Vasa or the Kingfisher . Of course, my children will one day sell my models at a garage sale for $50...Paul, it's a question of philosophy and approaches to construction. Paul, this is also a very difficult question. Not everyone can afford to buy a model for the price I want for it. In working with "Victory", several factors simply coincided. The customer wanted a model, but he did not have much money, and I was interested in this project as a test of my skills and capabilities. In the end, we came to an agreement. Yes, this is not the price I would like to receive for 3 years of work. But I got something else for myself - invaluable experience in my work.
