Model VICTORY by Deagostini, scale 1/84

Hi all. Finished installing the main rigging and spar. I installed the cruise-bracket, the boom-bram of the forduna, the bom-bram-stay. All that remains of the rigging are the tacks and sheets of the lower yards (sails), but I will install them later, they will interfere with the installation of the boats on the deck.

Made an anchor rope. First, the lay was made to the left, then from them to the right, and then from the right ropes I made the anchor lay of the left lay with a diameter of 2.5 mm. The option from above is to twist a rope from a thick thread on the left side. I didn’t really like this option, so the option below remains.

Installed stern lights and a lantern on the main top. I redid the lantern mounts and tried to repeat them both on the museum version and in Anatomy

Sorry colleagues, it's all about Russian terminology and google-translation problems.

Wonderful work Sasha, especially that metal work connecting backstay and pulley. Very fine detail

Hello friends. Work on the ship's details continues. Finished work with anchors.
I made all the rods and yokes. He hammered nails into the rods and slandered the anchor eyes.

As others have said your work is next level. Translation: beyond excellent. (Превосходно)

Sasha could I ask for you to explain how you achieved the puddening (slandered) on the anchor eyes?

Hoping to learn a little from a master.

Michael

Michael, good afternoon.
I'll try to explain. On the edge of the ring, near the anchor spindle, I tie a double knot, right here

Then I wind 3 or 4 turns around the ring, hold the end of the thread taut and move it to the beginning of the winding with tweezers. Do this all around the ring. The hardest part for me is when you get almost to the end, it's hard to hold the thread taut.
At the very end of the braid I make two knots. That's it. I put a drop of CA on the knots at the beginning and at the end.

Thanks for your reply Sasha. When you say braid, do you mean you use two or more threads which are entwined around the eye in different directions.
It looks so beautiful like you have a sleeve over the ring.
Sorry to ask for more information

No, there is no braid here. The winding is twisted thread, similar to this one. I don't remember the diameter, 0.2 or 0.3 mm. Thin.
