yes Jimsky, I will add treenail. Now I am searching how to paint treenails strips in black, I love Andrey Kudin method - painting prepared strips for tree nails with black nitro 'graffiti' paint, but becouse of Covid cant get them fast..

Very good result..... could you please tell us, which method / material you finally used for the tree-nails and also the caulking?

Good day,
I decided to do treenails with medical needle and pear, then coloured in black with permament marker. To make strips 0.6mm with filier for me its imposible, I was trying many times, but it was waste of time for me. For coulking I chose variant with black paper.
For now I am removing wales, couse I found some differences on each sides and I dont like curvature, it is a little bit strange, also I decided to change it to walnut

absolutely cant find info how corecty mark lines for wales, when I am taking measurements from plans by heights on futtocks in some places apears very not nice curvature of wales

Great work Manatas.Regarding the wales,I would not take every point you mark as gospel, more a case of taking the smooth curve between the points. However, because of the severe sheer and the fact the hull is curving inwards as well,I would expect a "double bend" in this area. The important thing is to eyeball everything from ALL angles when clamped in place before glue.Normally I would cut something like this out of sheet material after first making a template from card.Bending these curves is not easy.

Kind Regards

As much, as like #5, I am afraid it might be a bit big (prominent) for the scale (IMHO). Will you add treenails to the deck as well? If yes, can you make samples with three nails in-place? I suggest #6 ;)
Not having done anything in 1:36 my question in selection would be based upon what the width of the deck planking is to make a judgement as to the best caulking for scale with the ship's beam and decking overall. For my eyes small samples do not tell the whole story. Just a thought. Rich (PT-2)

Just remembered by your other posts related to deck caulking ..... do you have an update of your Felucca project?
Would be very good to see ....
Uwek, it will be, but now I am redoing all my model again from scratch, becouse I decided that I am not satisfied with it curvature something was wrong in my measuring or taking corners (I will show it in my next post). For now I want to reach same stage as I was finished before to continue my building log.

So...I'm back with my model, this means it took some time (wow..from Jun 16 2020) to totally start my model again from scratch and reach same stage as I was reached on 2020 June. The picture shows why I decided to remake model from scratch. Well.. it's not bad when you're learning and I undestand that it happens. Well but this will remain for various testings..as you can already see the Tung oil tested..
So I hope now I can continue my building log on. So the picture of difference and some details wich I think succeeded better in second time.
