Not having done anything in 1:36 my question in selection would be based upon what the width of the deck planking is to make a judgement as to the best caulking for scale with the ship's beam and decking overall. For my eyes small samples do not tell the whole story. Just a thought. Rich (PT-2)As much, as like #5, I am afraid it might be a bit big (prominent) for the scale (IMHO). Will you add treenails to the deck as well? If yes, can you make samples with three nails in-place? I suggest #6
Just remembered by your other posts related to deck caulking ..... do you have an update of your Felucca project?Slowly slowly, but here it is: planked hull.

Uwek, it will be, but now I am redoing all my model again from scratch, becouse I decided that I am not satisfied with it curvature something was wrong in my measuring or taking corners (I will show it in my next post). For now I want to reach same stage as I was finished before to continue my building log.Just remembered by your other posts related to deck caulking ..... do you have an update of your Felucca project?
Would be very good to see ....
Hallo @ManatasThis is my very first ship model ever.
Scratch build. Wood - pear. Ancre plans and monograph by Franco Fissore.
I will try to log my building process here and will be very thankfull for everybody who will dare to join by telling my mistakes or giving priceless sugestions.
And I'm sorry for my english there will be many mistakes 'couse I am from Lithuania but I will try my best.
So lets begin in short by pictures to see what I' ve done till now:View attachment 120987View attachment 120989View attachment 120990View attachment 120991View attachment 120992View attachment 120993View attachment 120994View attachment 120995View attachment 120996View attachment 120997View attachment 120998View attachment 120999View attachment 121000View attachment 120987View attachment 120989View attachment 120990View attachment 120991View attachment 120992View attachment 120993View attachment 120994View attachment 120995View attachment 120996View attachment 120997View attachment 120998View attachment 120999View attachment 121000View attachment 121001
and next job is to start joining futokcs parts and assembling them to keel
So...I'm back with my model, this means it took some time (wow..from Jun 16 2020) to totally start my model again from scratch and reach same stage as I was reached on 2020 June. The picture shows why I decided to remake model from scratch. Well.. it's not bad when you're learning and I undestand that it happens. Well but this will remain for various testings..as you can already see the Tung oil tested..
So I hope now I can continue my building log on. So the picture of difference and some details wich I think succeeded better in second time.
