Now I'm starting to understand the phenomenal progress we're witnessing almost every day... :)
 
Looks nice, while in the US Air Force I spent many years working in the 23rd Tactical Fighter Wing, AKA the Flying Tigers, direct descendant of the WWII unit.

I worked both the A-7D and A-10A, and our wing had the traditional tigers teeth paint on them.

I love the good old wart hog, as it truly roots out its prey with the nose weapons. Great aircraft that protects its pilots well.

What's also shown are two ways the panels were build, one panel with butt joints (first picture) and one with overlapping joints (second picture). How the walls were build on the NL, I wouldn't know, but may be there are some resources around giving an incling on what the Norwegians did...

I like your deks, but recommend you, to fully cover all decks, if not there can be some strength between the different woods. I know it cannot be seen, but. I in my last build inserted all decks- even below the lover decks rail, and they are all planked completely. what you have from the supplier are only to save money.-and generally doing the outside. make a patron and then a dobbelside tape to hole hast. I do not use the Decks from the kits, but makes my own. then the plank I use 1 1-1,5 mm

FYI - the Printz Friderich was the 1st of 3 sister ships built by the same designer. The Norske Love was the 2nd. They are very similar in design, with a few minor differences, like the figurehead and galley decorations, etc.
That said, if you reference the build log by Karl and see what he did (in scratch build section), he used the ships plans and has the best looking build I have ever seen! His walls were block panels, there are no individual planks! See pics below…

That said, I will NOT be adding planks to my walls. I appreciate everyone chiming in with opinions and suggestions, but I am going to be stubborn about this and say…no individual planks!!! There should however be a raised panel in that inset area. Not sure if I will add them or not… ;)

Ok…I’ve gone mad! :p
I got a new toy…so I decided to do some carving. I made an emblem out of pear wood, using the smallest bit I have and an xacto knife. Pic is of emblem in progress…

Then I stained it and added some black in the inset area of the shield. Because I like the look of pear wood stained.
But I also decided to make some raised panels for the inset areas. One I made from pear wood strips and one out of Ramin wood strips.

Then I looked at how the emblem would look on each one…

Now for the opinions…yes I’m asking, because I’ve gone mad…lol
First is the pear wood panel and an example with the emblem. Keep in mind, if I commit to this, I will paint the inset areas black. That way when I add the raised panels, they will be bordered with black in the inset area. I haven’t committed yet, so they are not painted…so use your imagination! ;)

PS This does it, between you and Peter Voogt, not to disrespect or disregard what our fellow builders are capable of, time and time again you come up with beautiful pieces of art. Inspiring too, but you left me in my seat, completely flabbergasted.

Nope, got it wrong; it's the second option, with the pear wood. You got me confused with the order of the pictures and the numbering of your options. Blame it's early morning here... BTW, isn't it way past bedtime in good old TX?
