NORSKE LOVE - Billing Boats 1:75 scale

I was making a little joke. My apologies.
Excuse my interpretation, but you didn’t like or acknowledge my accomplishment on my post, but instead made a comment on the printer abyss. So I interpreted that as you not thinking that was an accomplishment because I didn’t carve or make it out of wood.
My bad, that’s the problem with making assumptions. I appolgize for that. ;)
In addition, when sharing something you’re excited about, we have to remain humble, as not everyone will be as impressed as you might be with your accomplishment. ROTF

I went back and liked the original post :). Sorry, again, for the confusing post! I should have added a laughing emoji to make my intention more clear.

No worries, you have always been very supportive and normally at least give something a thumbs up or give a compliment, and I sincerely appreciate that, so the absence of anything, coupled with the comment caught me off guard. I’m certain it’s oversight on your part, I feel bad you went back added a like…sigh…this is starting to feel petty. So anyway, I was pretty excited about how the railings turned out, and I let that cloud my normal good judgement I suppose. Anyway, I appreciate you and keep the jokes coming! ;)

Ps - you don’t have to like the railings…I do ROTF

Now for the fisherman…

This is the go by…

Initial start…I like to start at the head. If I mess that up, no need to go any further…start over, do not pass go, do not collect $200 ROTF

The best way for me to really see what I have without paint is to hold it so I get shadows. As you can see, it has a long way to go. But showing some signs of promise.
Thus far I have only used an xacto knife and micro files.
Where it will go…

To be honest, I’m never excited or confident when I first start a carving because I can decide to scrap it at any time…lol. I try not to get too attached until I’m done. ;)
I don’t have to scrap many, but it’s always a possibility. Anyway, I have spent too many late nights getting the port carvings and railings done. I need a good nights rest tonight. To be continued…

Update …making progress on the fisherman…usually takes a couple of days on one of these.

And suddenly I realized l was carving @Daniel20ROTF

Ps - no rotary tools used yet. Sometimes they make everything round and you want sharp edges on some things. So just xacto knife, micro files, micro chisel and sanding stick so far.

That is going to be a very handsome Fisherman, Dean.
