Many thanks Sevish. Kind of you to comment.excellent progress
and very Beautiful !
Wow! I am impressed! Is this kit still available?
Beautiful job so far!5x2 beech. Single planked, quite thick to bend but I think I’m getting there.
With a bit of sanding, I think should look okay. Very pleased with it all so far.

Your planking is exactly that for which we strive on every model! You are doing a magnificent job!All planking done and a quick first sand. Came out better than I even hoped for. I did a test gun port with a cannon and the paper template, perfect so I don’t know what happened with Julian’s build being 4or 5 mm out.
Trying to figure out a more simple method of cutting out the gun ports. Must be an easier way somewhere So many to do and most of them are affected by the ribs.
One done. Another 80 odd to do.

Incredible! Simply incredible!Quick update on my progress. Stage by stage that some people might find boring, but I personally love the stages in builds with photos.
You can scroll on through if it’s over the top.
Ship now released from the build base. Lots of sanding tomorrow and the inner lining gone very sweetly.
Test fitted the stern part. All looking smooth.
Not sure of the proper names.
Bye bye faithful base. Kept everything square and true.
Kit says 5x1 lime to line the ribs. None in the kit. Think they meant beech !!!

There was no front fish on the mizzen mast.Still plodding along with the detail work.
Netting to do and then the dead eyes positioning.
Masts made and all looking great.

Many thanks. Just following Occres instructions. It covers a lot of rope winding start and finishes. There was no front fish on the mizzen mast.

As we say: you are the captain - you decideMany thanks. Just following Occres instructions. It covers a lot of rope winding start and finishes.
Don’t think their ship is a true model for details.
Seems like a few things are not true to the original.
I’m just enjoying the build and leaving the real finesse to serious scale modellers.
Instructions are very vague at times and some bits are not explained very clearly and a lot of mistakes on the item list.
Still looks nice anyway considering that it is left in non painted finish and colours.
Good morning. Awesome! Well done. I remember doing those nettings and how I struggled with them…..you got your neat and tidy. Cheers GrantJust finished the hammock rails, netting and walkways. Getting there slowly.

Thank you Grant. Struggled a bit at times. Kept sticking to my fingers and pulling off at times. Ruined a few but managed with tooth picks in the end. Few swear words were shouted out. Lol.Good morning. Awesome! Well done. I remember doing those nettings and how I struggled with them…..you got your neat and tidy. Cheers Grant
