Lady GI dont think I'll complete any model unless I am motivated by selling them on.,
Hope you do not mind an add on . I agree sending by common courier and postal services is asking for trouble. On the other hand there are safe alternatives. I have shipped rigged models across the USA and to Europe on numerous occasions. and all arrived safely and are still on display, including several that are moving around the oceans on cruise ships with no problems. Key is using a professional mover such as a company that ships antiques worldwide. The cost is dear, but the clients were given options and bore the costs of crating, shipping and insurance.Sending completed wooden models via post or courier will most likely result in the delivery of firewood and toothpics.
I think that is the case for the vast majority of us.There are no wooden .model shops near me, but i think i could try contactjng the few there are to ask if they have a suggestion.
