POF L'Amarante Corvette de 12 canons 1744 1:36 (Ancre Monograph- Gérard Delacroix) By Shota

good evening my dear friends

First of all, I would like to thank you, my lovely friends, for the kind words and compliments, the likes and smileys, it puts wind in the sails of the work:cool::D:)

today I finished to build the
main bitts and standarts and jeer-bitts.
I know that the brass parts should have been browned, but to my personal taste the original color has a beautiful combination with the wood, plus I like that the brass undergoes an oxidation process over time that causes it to approach the color of bronze. So I decided to let time and nature do their job. Another thing I made was two bundles of ropes and installed them in the lower rope storage.

Nice brass work, Shota.

Good morning dear friends
I am appealing to anyone who can help me with a dilemma and question

I think/fear that there is an error in the Ancre drawings regarding the installation location of the metal support angles on the cross beams of the lower deck in the bow.

As you can see I have marked in blue the places where there is a discrepancy between two drawings of the same area.

I would appreciate any guidance that will help resolve the gaps/discrepancies and how to work correctly

If I may, I have a general comment in this context. It is not the case that if the author of some plans drew certain elements in a specific size, shape, and location, then that is exactly how it had to be on the ship that has been reconstructed today. People who view the plans usually perceive it that way, but it is simply not true. The example you show illustrates the case very well, i.e., the necessary improvisation on the part of the authors of the plans, sometimes resulting in the inconsistencies seen here.

In such situations, there is no other option but to interpret these inconsistencies yourself, which in a sense means playing the role of the author of the plans.

Very interesting. I would choose the side view. According to the floor plan, so as not to clash with the hanging eye (No. 1) and at the same time, according to the floor plan, he also added the last one (No. 2).
