So been quiet lately because been so busy. I found out this fall I have stage 4 Prostate cancer. between work meds and dr appointments ive been feeling tired all the time so I goto work when I can and then come home and sit around falling asleep in chair.
I start vacation today and monday go back to the dr. they are going to do 12 more biopsies see how things are going. the good news is prostate cancer is like 100% curable and at stage 4 its 85-100%. i dont have an aggressive type so dr says nothing for me to worry abt but i just feel weak from treatments. there is a possibility i wont need to have proistrate removed as so far treatments seem to be working. it all depends on results of mondays biopsies what happens next.

Just thought let ppl know why I dissapeared for a while but i do try to follow builds when I can

I come and go on the forum for the same reason, Joseph. Keep strong and follow all advice from your specialists, or get a second opinion if you are not happy with treatment. We are all different and different drugs and treatments work differently for some of us. The main thing is that you see progress. That is why I have set myself the task of a scratch build 1778 frigate. It will take me years to complete and I like that idea.

Hello Joseph
Sorry to hear the bad news. I have been on Saw Palmetto the day after the Doctor recommend after my Biopsies. Numbers were like 65. Now my numbers are normal 4,46. Worth checking into. Keep the faith and God bless

Prostate cancer is the curse of being a male. Most men who reach 90 yrs. of age will get it but it is one of the less aggressive cancers. I've had it for about eight years now and as long as I take my meds to reduce hormone levels, it doesn't bother me or seem to be growing. I seldom give it a second thought. Hang in there and keep the faith.

So following up on all these tests etc

so got the word from my Dr today on my biopsies and all 12 came positive and that my prostate is loaded with cancer.

the good note is I have to have some robot do surgery on me they going to rip out my prostate and i should be cured as it appears it is only in the prostate and with my scores it isn't an aggressive type.

they will do scans etc just to check it is nowhere else. Tomorrow I getting my CT scans and full body Bone scans then fri meet with dr on results and schedule surgery. good news is i will get 6 weeks vacation to do some art
