Purchased shortly ago / sthg new in your workshop -> present it here

Biggest single purchase for me to date. This is mainly due to me spreading out into model engineering and my old mill wasn't up to this task. I did originally buy the old mill for my Saint Phillppe build and for that it was adequate. For those who debate the usefulness of a mill, I now have 3 !! My old MF70 which is now well abused and due replacement, my Clarke CMD300 and now this.

Z axis DRO scale to fit to complete, plans in the pipeline to add power feed to the Z axis but other things are more pressing like a better quality mill vice.

For curious minds, the item set up will eventually be the Crankshaft for a triple expansion engine. The 303 Stainless billet is set up eccentrically to rough out the big end journals prior to turning between centres on my OH too small a latheRedface

Good morning Uwek, I’m waiting for my section 3 of me GRANADO. If not to much trouble, would you be willing to share the quantities and sizes your order from Drydock so fire off an order as well.

Thanx and have a Great Navy Day

David
Her is my order from DryDocks - Due to the fact, that I still don´t know which of these blocks I will use f.e. for the guns I order some variation - good to have
So I guess, that unfortunately it is not so much helping you

Sometimes simple is best: superglue tipping thingy, made from an old airbrush needle and a piece of leftover. Cleaning? Lighter, burn, wipe.
I like that, I made a few of these, works the best with super glue. I also use the back of a needle, the eye. Cut the tip of so I have a tiny 2 finger fork. It holds the glue better.

Ah, that’s smart. Now to find a way to trick the missus into handing over a needle or two.

If you want to build several models, you have to have a nice box of blocks! Kit blocks are garbage.

A good source for Mills of this kind in the UK is Amadeal. Usually the cheapest and friendly service, I have bought quite a lot from them over the last 10 years. They live in a railway arch- classic small UK business.
