Isn't there another bit where he's driving a Robin around a parking garage?Watch out for Mr Bean.

Yes, there are more. He always hunts them down.Isn't there another bit where he's driving a Robin around a parking garage?
Just received mine, really like the adjustable side skirts.I think this little beauty has been highlighted by others, which is why I came to long for one.
Well it arrived in the mail today.
I’m in love. And I think my building skills have improved by just looking at it.
Enjoy.

Cheaper? Only the blade. The plane compleet is more expensive then the real one.As ever, there's a cheaper version of the block plane on Aliexpress - and free postage.
A cutting mat will improve your work, nothing more nothing less.Great cutting mat debate:
As a new member to this forum, I enjoy browsing through old posts and this morning I happened upon the Cutting Mat Debate. This involved the acceptable color for cutting mats ( Green) but totally ignored the big question: What is the purpose of these things?
I have been building ship models for far longer than I care to remember. All of my models are scratch built so I do not cut parts from sheet stock. I have a dedicated workbench with an MDF top. When the top gets fouled with paint, glue, etc. light sanding and a new coat of grey paint restores it to first class condition.
Perhaps to become a respected member of this community I should invest in a (green) cutting mat! Before I do so is there some other reason for owning one?
Roger
the plane costs 149.00 and has free shipping. For 40 bucks, you can only have a blade. As ever, there's a cheaper version of the block plane on Aliexpress - and free postage.
you forget to tell a 'Green' mat. Not all mats will improve.A cutting mat will improve your work, nothing more nothing less.
The primary purpose of the mat is to be green and on your workbench. The secondary purpose to let everyone know what a savvy and skillful craftsman you are.Great cutting mat debate:

Hallo Roger,... Before I do so is there some other reason for owning one?
Very good idea - and helpful when you need the ropesI got tired of trying to untangle lines when rigging the ship. I bought these spools and clips. When I open a new line package I unwind it on the floor. I hold the line between my spread fingers to keep the loops from getting twisted. I then wind it back up on these spools.

This is what I bought, but looks like no longer available. Amazon probably has something similar.
