ROYAL CAROLINE 1749 M: 1/48 by Jeronimo [COMPLETED BUILD]

Yes - these are typical for the catheads
BTW: beautiful work my friend

Hello Neptune and Uwe,
many thanks for the notification.

You are both right, it is indeed here to Cathead figure.

My mistake reading the plan drawings.
Regardless of the eight figures I lack the Speigatts / water drains.

regards
Karl

Hi Karl, what a fantastic carving. I carved my figurehead myself but I see I still have to practise.

And why not carve it yourselve? It is fun to do.

Hello Maarten,
your figurehead looks very good.
Unfortunately , I lack the talent / ability to carve such a work of art.
I would not like to disfigure an otherwise beautiful built model with a
messed up/ bad figurehead .

Nice work! Which tools do you use? Rotatory tools like Dremel, Proxxon or similar?
Hi Jose,
Yes proxxon with small milling bit and diamond grinding bits. I posted it in my blog.
Before I mess up karl's.:-)

The dimensions of the carvings made a modification of the windows openings
and gun ports are absolutely necessary.
My mistake in the frame construction or the finished size of the carvings,
no matter it müsst be changed.

Was it a window only, or also window / gunport combination? Maybe the window was to be opened inwards ?!?
Means the bird has to loose a wing - poor "goose" Sick
