Russian sailing-screw frigate "Oleg" 1860.Scale 1:100

I was engaged in bridges. I was finishing the railing racks. I glued two bridges into place. I made ladders with railings. And so on the little things. I'm waiting for the guns, the steering wheel, the pipes. They are being printed.

Unfortunately, the bridge decking is incorrect. The boards should be positioned lengthwise. Otherwise it’s not logical and there’s nothing to secure them with. If it is possible to redo it, it would be good.
Here is a sample on the model of the frigate "Askold"

К сожалению, настил мостика неверный. Доски должны располагаться вдоль. Иначе не логично и закрепить их неначто. Если есть возможность переделать, было бы хорошо.
Вот образец на модели фрегата "Аскольд"

Everything is according to Garmashev's drawings. And the development of a paper model gives the flooring perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the body. One model is not a reason to think that it was so. everywhere. Here is another model. And common sense tells me that short boards were avoided during construction. The flooring with long boards will be stronger. In your picture, it generally seems that the flooring consisted of separate boards.Everything is according to Garmashev's drawings. For the future, Garmashev’s drawings cannot be trusted. You only need to trust archival drawings and historical models. The diagram made in pencil is not correct, since the deck board will have a bend (and therefore be under tension).
Alexey Loginov talked to you. Take his publications with drawings; they were made according to archival drawings. Here's an example:

На будущее, чертежам Гармашёва верить нельзя. Верить надо только архивным чертежам и историческим моделям. Схема сделанная карандашом не верная, поскольку палубная доска будет иметь изгиб (следовательно быть в напряжении).
С вами общался Алексей Логинов. Возьмите его издания с чертежами, они делались по архивным чертежам. Вот пример:

Alexander, you'd better tell me about the boarding ramp. I didn't find any hints. In the paintings of other ships, somewhere there are steps on the sides, somewhere there is nothing. A large outboard ladder with beams, I think, is not appropriate here. Maybe you can tell me something.

No, not me Alexander)) (Phrases are difficult to translate) He wrote here under the nickname Dart. He knows a lot about Russian ships of this era.
"Oleg" is a very large frigate. In photos and drawings of similar ships there is a massive side staircase.

Sorry, I confused Alexander with Alexey.

One additional very interesting detail - that the screw was possible to lift inside the hull (blue arrow) -> was it to be faster when she sailed and not powered by the engine?

IMG-20240124-WA0016.jpg

on your second photo we can see, that the platform has an outer form exactly like the bulkheads / rails - but yours is hanging over (red arrows) , so it seem, that the platform, is not following the hulls form (green) - with already installed rails on the platform it will be hard to adjust....

A very interesting ship .... and also very interesting building log

Yes, there is such a jamb. But do not forget that I built a building for the development of a paper model. There are enough inaccuracies there. And you compared it with the drawings of another author. I'm trying to bring these two developments together. I cut this place off as best I could. I glued the end posts of the railing. At the same time, he sharpened the shafts of the shots for wiring the bowsprit rigging.

Well, the standing rigging of the bowsprit, the jib-boom , the flying jib boom is almost finished. It remains to tighten the water rods. This requires metal brackets on the stem. I ordered them, and the reinforcement of the stem is laser cut from brass. I'm waiting. I stretched the tripwires on the struts of the sloop beams made of chains. He also made the frames of the awning over the main ladders out of copper.

I finally got the ordered parts printed on a 3D printer. Barrels of guns, half-guns, anchors, two standard sizes of steering wheels, pipes, upper parts of the covers of cannon ports. Well, eagles on the bow of the ship.

While I'm taking a break from the drakar. He took up artillery on Oleg. I glued half-shells on the closed deck. Glued the barrels to the gun carriages. It remains to install locking brackets and wedges for raising and lowering the barrel.
