Santísima Trinidad by OCCRE [COMPLETED BUILD]

hellooooo mates ,

rigging ,rigging and more rigging.
soooo,I've managed to finish the bowsprit with the sails and the rigging of them.
I tried to use Donnie's build as reference and did my best.
OCCRE'S rigging instructions has issues,Tripping the sailors is one of them...IMG_20240104_080014.jpgIMG_20240104_080050.jpg
IMG_20240104_075928.jpg

And This is my work (need only to cut down the threads excess and add more rope coil).
IMG20231231210817.jpgIMG20231227200055.jpg

And last but not least .
the Foremast yards with the sails attached . the foremast sail will be folded, it's currently in progress.

Hello Service, would you allow me to suggest some anomalies? Thank you , the hooding of the shrouds the lines should be wrapped and the first shroud towards the bow should be blindfolded to avoid rubbing with the sails. This is my personal opinion, you are the captain of the ship.Frank

Hey Frank

Thank you for your insight.
Your suggestion is well known to me and i did the research but i passed the serving of all the shrouds as they should be to save some work time.
I don't have serving machine currently and starting serving the shrouds by hand would take me much longer than I have.
hopefully I'll buy one for my next build.

Thank you very much my dear friend

Alexey Domanoff from https://www.shipworkshop.com/ makes very high quality rigging equipment. I bought a ropewalk from him, I can recommend it. I think that such a purchase with several models will quickly pay off. This equipment is very pleasant to work with. Price is quite affordable, I decided that instead of one "ready-made" stupid model with many issues, I would buy this equipment, I don't regret it.

Thank you for the tip my friend .
I know this store, but it's too much expensive for me right now.
And one of my 3d printer projects will be rope making machine, when i will get it already :(

A good 3D design is also an interesting idea. In the case of boatbuilding tools, there is no other option, either buy new ones or make your own.
It's different with tools. Fortunately, I bought most of the tools in the "normal world" a few years ago, and now these prices... power tools, equipment... life is bad now.
I also have several large auction portals in the country, I bid, I buy, you can get a lot of equipment for half the price, but there is always something wrong with it, either damaged or returned. I have several friends who repair power tools, someone will always help and repair them. And it pays off if someone helps.
You can't do it all at once, but over time you can do a lot !

Long time, much to rig.
Yet another small update.
All sails on the yards are up with the Halyards,Lifts and Braces, except for the gaff sail (work in progress).

Work in progress and what remains to do:
Finish the gaff sail rigging
Jib sails
Stay sails
Clew ropes
Rope coils for the pins. (not sure yet)
Fix and paint the ship stand
Fix some parts in the ship
Clean up the ship for delivery.

About a month work i hope.

That's it for now , Cheers
Guy

Hello everyone ,
This is my first post here.
It's my 2nd wood ship that i'm building.
I got this kit as commission build with the keel/skeleton already assembled, sadly he didn't kept gluing the Bulkheads straight so there is little warps with the deck when i assemble it.
I know i have some mistakes in my build, but i'm learning and doing my best to overcome and and evolve from those mistakes for me my future builds.
For this kit i'm in the start of the 8th month of building (started it in the end of October).
So there's lots of photo straight away.

I like what I am seeing with your efforts to identify and correct some problem areas. For example, it appeared that the cutwater was crooked and uneven. Yet, that area looks fantastic. I'm impressed! I'm looking forward to your Santisima Trinidad as you progress with her.
