Still working away on planking as time permits.

The Port side is about 90% complete and I've started the Starboard side.





So far I've not experienced the plank length problems noted in other Santa Maria build logs. I think Pavel has fixed that.

A quick post, it's a busy time here with graduations, doctor appointments and out door work.

I'm trying to solve a puzzle: The Crows nest:

I posted earlier the three parts in my kit to form the top of the crows nest are not identical.
I made a copy of one of the "good pieces" and pasted that on the reverse side of the "bad piece"





All three pieces dry fitted to make sure I had it right.

Now I have to imagineer how to "scribe/indent/carve out" the four missing indentations.

Progress or Not, Maybe, a major "Re-Do".

I spent the last couple of days removing the last six planks placed and refitting them because I wasn't happy with the way they lay.

Some more innovative clamping.



Two more planks and the hull is closed in.
