Spanish galleon 36 canons

Scale 1:64 = 25 inches length

The reference drawings are a free download from the internet.

This will be a plank on frame construction, the framing will be European beechwood.

My printer is limited to 11x17 sheets so the larger drawings will be split into multiple sheets and spliced together.

Keel:
The keel assembly is built from these three sheets.

The Frames continued:

I decided to start at both ends and work toward the midship frame. Rather than showing a big stack of frames I spread them out on my pool table for a photo. The next photos show the keel assembly, hog, and stern frame. The rest show the frames being assembled.

The Frames continued:

I am using a gantry type jig for the model plans are available on this site. It is easy to use and keeps the framing level. This set of photos show the bow and stern framing.
