Santiago De Compostela 1540 [COMPLETED BUILD]

Stern Framing

The stern framing had very little support when the frames were being attached to the keel and with the lower deck framing in place it looks it is time to add more support. I added two side planks tying the stern frames to the counter timbers and two vertical filling frames.

Gundeck Cannons:

The gundeck deck has 16 gunports, I am going to show 8 canons on the starboard side and closed ports on the port side. This old type of cannons is a little different from the later guns. These are a few progress photos.

Bow Framing continued

The vertical framing for the bulwark was added next and took a photo and took a photo with three of the main guns and one with the smaller ones for size comparison. The smaller ones fit much better. The foremast and bowsprit were added next.
