Fred, good afternoon. I'm not sure, but the lions on the princedigeda are exactly turned their heads to the stern? I think they should go forward.

The lions are supplied in the kit as a zamac molded part. In fact the body of the lions is turned backwards but their heads look forward.

It's a fantastic looking ship a true credit to your workmanship. Have you scratch built or replaced any parts or is it straight out of the box? If so it's an excellent kit.

Here are some new photos of my Confederacy building.
The head grating is now finished:
Construction continues with the latrines, the bowsprit, the knightheads (the two wood pieces on each side of the bowsprit), the boomkins:
At this time the construction is almost finished:
I just have to build the two ship's boats and I will think about the rigging. I did not find any documentation on the Confederacy rigging. I have seen that some modelers have used the Constitution's rigging plans but that does not fit. I will keep you informed of my investigations.

The final steps of the Condederacy's buid are the two ship's boat. After that the kit will be finished.

To answer to Philski, yes, I am going to rigg the model.
I build the masts from square and rectangular basswood battens:
I then plan it until it is almost cylindrical (slightly conical) and I finish by turning it with the drill.
Next comes the construction of the tops:
The pendants and the firsts shrouds couples:
I make the blocks and ropes myself and I am starting to have a good stock:
