Hello everyone,
After two years of work, the Confederacy is finally finished (I think you didn't believe it anymore!). One year for the hull, one year for the rigging. With the little information I had about the rig, it was more difficult than I thought at first. I picked up here and there in the rigging of other frigates and ships of the same period but no two are alike. So too much information ends up confusing.
I did find pictures on the net of another Confederacy rigged but it was the Constitution's rig that was used, and it is very different (4 yards per mast instead of three, for example).
In this rig all the elements are homemade, except for the bottom deadeyes which were supplied in the kit. I made all the blocks, closed hearts, uper and topmast shroud deadeyes as well as all the ropes.
But no more chit-chat, let's see the pictures.
Best regards,
Fred
