One thought is how difficult will it be to place the lifeboats after the rigging is complete? It may be easier to place and lash the lifeboats in place before the rigging. I am sure there are those here with more experience who can give us their opinion on this.

That's what I was thinking. I don't even know if I will be needing all those pins to begin with. I am going to check out the belaying diagram just to make sure.
It's craziness the way it is right now.

I used the diagrams from the Anatomy of the Constitution. That helped a bit. But the old kit only had plastic pin racks with pins installed. Half were broken off or stubs and unusable. Plus there weren’t enough if I were to add all the sails. So I made up places to belay them wherever I could.
 
Well I had a look at the belaying diagram, and it seems that all those pins are accounted for. Sigh...
Anyone install the mallets like in the photo below? I am leaving them off.
