Getting back to the Polaris.
I left it for a few months to do an easier one, the Bounty from Amati first steps. Now I have finished the Bounty, with many mistakes but I have learned something from all of them, and I am going to get back to the Polaris, which also has many defects, but now I know how I am going to fix them.
By the way, I'm showing you a small piece I made on my 3D printer to bend the slats.
Greetings!

PS: I invite you to find a single photo of the Amati first steps Bounty with the sails on, like mine... There isn't one!!

This is a first post to see if it works out ,as this seems to be my preferred site.
Somehow I've managed to get two ships to the same stage at the same time, so looks like a busy rigging winter.
Long project christmas gift, Cutty at 1/115 base Constructo, And the "Anne of Flowers" 1/75 Elisabethan fantasy scratch galleon base work of Kirsch (for my old mum, Elizabeth Anne) which somehow snuck in and took over !

One of three builds I’m working on at the present is a river boat from the early 1800’s used in France. When completed It’s going to be displayed in a pet shop owned by a friend. The crew consists of pets, as I can get them carved. And of course the owner, Capt. Kurt :-) Here’s the crew I’ve recruited so far. Except the tiny cockatiel I planed to put at the end of the yard. I guess he’s hiding.

It was difficult and frustrating buil so far. Starting from very chaotic instruction, you need to constantly check back and forward. Some pieces are not numbered, some are numbered but missing from kit - like foredeck support beams.
There are four copies of each whale planks but instruction showing you need to double only. I used three on main whale.
Decks planks are generally to narrow - even in Pavel's video he need to make some from scrap wood.
The left/right markings are generally swaped but some parts are marked correctly.
I've got some parts that are not showed either in instruction or on the plans.
there are not tolerance for any mistake or over sanding. The subassemblies to narrow or to short compared to the shape of the hull.

For that I promoted myself to scratch builder level 2
But I think I need break from the model not to end up in the bin
