Good suggestion.Don’t throw it away, Ted. Perhaps useful, a lot of spars to go.
Regards, Peter

Yup.Here's the trash parts that didn't make the cutView attachment 481717
Indeed a milestone, Ted. This complex building part is looking good.I finished construction and assembly of the foremast.
That's a milestone for me.

...and, hope you put this set in a drill bit to sand them while it is rotating...Only today did it occur to me to put them back on the drill bit and sand them together.
Once again, I didn't think of that...and, hope you put this set in a drill bit to sand them while it is rotating...
maybe next time... you will have this trick in your stash...Once again, I didn't think of that
No wrapping of part 115, at least not that I'm aware of. Looks more like a chamfer to me.I'm working on the main mast.
I t appears part 115 wrapped with the brass sheet or something. I didn't notice this on the foremast. Should I leave it off
Best regards

Thank you, I had rounded off the foremast so I'm ok.No wrapping of part 115, at least not that I'm aware of. Looks more like a chamfer to me.
That's right. Again, if memory serves me correctly, I used a 10mm drillbit for the lower mast hoops and an 8mm for the upper masts. The mast hoops I made are too large for the upper masts.
I will have to remake them for both masts. The upper hoops fit the lower masts.
I'll check these sizes. That's right. Again, if memory serves me correctly, I used a 10mm drillbit for the lower mast hoops and an 8mm for the upper masts.
Thanks, I may have to go that routeYou could also consider strips of paper.
Here's how I did it, based on @Peter Voogt's work: https://shipsofscale.com/sosforums/threads/yq-bluenose-by-johan-completed-build.8304/post-301295. Please note, ensure the width of the hoops does not exceed 0,04"/1,0mm.
