YQ Bluenose Ted R

In the pattern of disclosing my mistakes as well as victories I am pointing out the problem I have had over new years day.
I haven't been able to figure out how to rig the aft most block on the lower foremast boom. Just now I see that I have the whole thing rigged backwards.
This is not the first time I have done something backwards on this project.
A sense of spatial awareness is something I have relied on my entire life having been an instrument rated multi engine pilot and military air traffic controller.
I have an appointment with my primary care doctor next Monday and will discuss if I'm starting to get some sort of dyslexia due to age (76) or repeated concussions in my youth. This old age thing is something new to me. Lol
Maybe that's just an an excuse and I'm kinda stupid.
Either way I eventually found the problem.
Happy modeling here
Ted

Well, what can I say? I wouldn't be honest in telling putting on something in reverse never happened to me. Point is, can you deal with it? If not, stay away from modeling ánd flying (and a lot more fun things to do). My CFI once told me that I would make mistakes while flying; recognizing those errors and taking the appropriate corrective action is what keeps you alive.
By the way; some parts saw at least three versions, before I was satisfied with the outcome.

As long as you discover this problem yourself, there’s hope, Ted ….. :)
For the rigging is the most important: try to understand the operation of the line in question. What is it for and how does it work. Visualize how in this case the boom is pulled up.
Regards, Peter

I would not want to tell you how many times I have glued a part in place and just in time for the glue to set I realize, crap, that's not right, then go into tear out mode with the least amount of damage possible.
Thank you. I'm going to make sure the model is pointed in the same direction as the ropes I'm working on to help confusing myself.
Hope that works

Got it fixed. Only had to reorient the tie down block and it worked.
Certainly a lot less than tearing my hull apart.
