YUANQING BLUENOSE - Peter Voogt [COMPLETED BUILD]

"The distortion is due to the close-up photo". Ah yes, those close-up photos really have a way of highlighting things not visible to the naked eye. One of the flaws of our too-sophisticated technology. Still, a great job Peter, and I am really enjoying watching your build come together Thumbsup
- Mark
Thanxs, Mark. It also has a bit to do with convenience: a quick picture with the iPhone instead of making a setup with the 'fat Canon'. But I'm going to take the time for that again.
Regards, Peter

The design from Dean received the steering based on Saga drawing loaded into my 3D CAD Viewer

Planning is that this design will be 3D printed early 2022 together with the Windlass engine

Stunning work from Dean

Another step further. Putting the wall on the floor:

The Captain can be satisfied. He wanted a panel door and a sink.

But he had even more notes to his singing:

The sink has a foot pump operation. Now that I see the photo, the faucet is being replaced with a thinner one.
A desk with chair and pockets for his cards.
Some shelves and a clock.
On his desk is a nautical chart of the waters off Nova Scotia. He brought 2 large nuts from the yard to use as a paperweight.

Some fine-tuning, because during installation you rest your finger or your hand on something and then it bends again.
Then partially put in the oil, glue in the hull and then continue oiling.

Looks great Peter! Nice progress! ;)

Peter, it is amazing how much detail you put in your build, I am no longer sure, what you are fascinated with more: the actual split hull and its construction or the details of the cabins... Either way, you do a fine job, but...no surprises here. :)

Thanxs, Jim. Not everthing was in my planning. Some last minute addings like the map on the desk and clock. :)

This is truly amazing with the small accessories in the cabin from paperwork to the clock on the wall with hands showing time. . . . oh so much time and care!!!!
No words properly express my mind boggled reaction of how you accomplished all of this. Rich (PT-2)

I was looking around and didn't find a pen or pencil on the table...I guess they dropped on the floor one of those days. ;)
Actually I was wondering if he ever gets thirsty...
Yes yes ....... and a drafting compass, a parallel ruler, a sextant, shipping books, some glasses and a bottle of cherry-brandy, ....... just call ....... just name it ......... ROTF I go on with shipbuilding now!
