Model VICTORY by Deagostini, scale 1/84

To all fellow modellers, good afternoon.
So I learned that in my city there is temporarily no copper sheathing, so for the time being I started making masts and tops. I'll show you how I make mars for VICTORY.
I transfer the template that comes with the set to a sheet of paper. We will need only one part of the template, which is next to the sheet of paper in the photo.

Now it's tedious to stick the rails. Reiki are glued in two layers. The first layer is laid long slats on a sheet of paper in the direction from the stern to the bow, if you look at Mars from above. After laying the long rails, we turn the structure over and lay the long rails again, only perpendicular to the previous ones. I clamp it all with clamps and wait until it sticks together. After that, I insert short rails where necessary. Indicated in the photo number 2

Next, I made long salings and spreaders.

As a result, we got such a grotto Mars.

And this is how DeAgostini proposes to do it

I have not started to make a fence yet, because it will also be necessary to install a lot of eyes, blocks and guy-puttens on Mars. Mars will have to be twisted in different directions, and the fence will interfere.
Now you need to use the same technology to make a fock mars and a mizzen mars. I have already started making a fock mars ;) ;) ;)

Nice work indeed Thumbsup

Colleagues, good afternoon.
Looking for a book: Alan McGowan, "HMS VICTORY: Her Construction, Career and Restoration".
I'm interested in high resolution photos of the hull skin.
Maybe someone has this book and could share a photo.View attachment 301811
