VASA 490 Build Log - Billing Boats, 1:75 [Completed Build]

Good Morning Daniel. Brilliant !!! That is a mighty fine Vasa you have built. The overall wood, red and plain gold finish is something I have always loved with your VASA. I I have learnt a lot from you both from your input individually and through following your build log of this impressive ship. Thank you. As with Pauls Vasa it is a little sad to see your build completed - it has been a fun and rewarding journey for sure. Cheers Grant

We didn't JUST read your build log. Many of use took notes. Any builder who tackles a large man of war as their build has some features of their build that we borrow for our builds. The forum is how we teach each other. Congrats on a beautiful and most challenging build!

And because of Heinrich's message just now about sending BN #058, I came across this post from you. Glad you made the choice.
With a small question: Are you really going to make it a BN-II? Or is it a 'slip of the pen' and you stay with ’the Original’?

Hello Peter, at this point I must confess my ignorance. I was assuming the Bluenose II simply because it is the newer version. I will build whatever the kit was designed to be, at least for now. My main goal in this build was to construct a POF style ship to increase my experience and skills. And I really love her lines and sail layout.

Thanks for the info, Dean. That does look like an interesting build, I will keep it in a "list of interest." I have already committed to the YQ Bluenose and am waiting on shipment to arrive.
