Very elegant looking ship. Congratulations
Good Morning Daniel. Brilliant !!! That is a mighty fine Vasa you have built. The overall wood, red and plain gold finish is something I have always loved with your VASA. I I have learnt a lot from you both from your input individually and through following your build log of this impressive ship. Thank you. As with Pauls Vasa it is a little sad to see your build completed - it has been a fun and rewarding journey for sure. Cheers GrantGood morning to all. It is with great pleasure that I am offering up my finished Swedish Vasa for your review. I decided once again to take over our breakfast area as a stage for most of the photos. The time to completion was 1 year, 9 months. and 10 days. Naturally actual build time was significantly less than that. In reality if it were not for all the input from all of you, this endeavor might well have never ended. I consider all of you part of my SOS family who have played an integral part in the construction of this ship. I took all these photos with my Iphone 8 and did a little editing within the phone itself. So here we go. In this first set I basically tried to capture rear, side, then front overall shots.

Next up will be a series of closer in shots to look at some of the details.

These last photos are the Vasa's final display location (the admiral's server) which she recommended. I will focus on a dust cover display case in the near future.

Once again, I can't thank you all enough for your support through this build, I hope you enjoy the presentation. I will be taking a short break from building but will still be active in watching various other builds during the mean time.
Happy modeling to you!

We didn't JUST read your build log. Many of use took notes. Any builder who tackles a large man of war as their build has some features of their build that we borrow for our builds. The forum is how we teach each other. Congrats on a beautiful and most challenging build! Thanks again to all you wonderful SOS shipmates who took the time to visit my build log.

Hi Daniel. I am sorry that I am so late with my congratulations on this wonderful result. You can be very proud of this.Good morning to all. It is with great pleasure that I am offering up my finished Swedish Vasa for your review.
And because of Heinrich's message just now about sending BN #058, I came across this post from you. Glad you made the choice. Thanks Uwe, I want to build a POF next and am leaning towards the Yuanqing Bluenose II.
Hello Peter, at this point I must confess my ignorance. I was assuming the Bluenose II simply because it is the newer version. I will build whatever the kit was designed to be, at least for now. My main goal in this build was to construct a POF style ship to increase my experience and skills. And I really love her lines and sail layout. And because of Heinrich's message just now about sending BN #058, I came across this post from you. Glad you made the choice.
With a small question: Are you really going to make it a BN-II? Or is it a 'slip of the pen' and you stay with ’the Original’?
Regards, Peter

Hi John, I agree with Kurt. You already have a very beautiful ship and if this is your first one WOW what a beautiful job so far.It will if you build that one and start a second ship. You'd be surprised how fast you learn in this hobby.
Daniel, You might consider the POF kit of Le Requin, see link below. Thanks Dean. I know for sure I want to do a POF and I'm leaning towards the Bluenose II. Haven't quite made up my mind yet.
Thanks for the info, Dean. That does look like an interesting build, I will keep it in a "list of interest." I have already committed to the YQ Bluenose and am waiting on shipment to arrive.Daniel, You might consider the POF kit of Le Requin, see link below.
