My go to glue for shipbuilding is "Titebond II". I've become the Master of "Do-Overs". Somewhere I read about using vinegar to loosen glued parts versus using a heat gun or hot water. So.....

I applied a thin bead of vinegar along the glue seams, waited a few minutes and carefully pried the parts apart.

You should test the vinegar on a piece of scrap to see if there is any reaction.

Hi Jan,

Thanks for the tip. I've heard about the vinegar thing, I was always worried about it discoloring the wood. I'll give it a try, if it worked for you I'm sure it'll work for me.

I ordered the mast step upgrade from Pavel as well, hopefully the tariff thing doesn't delay our delivery too much.

Yup.got my fingers crossed.
I think the ungluing process will work for you. The mast step area will be covered by deck planking so if there is any staining it won't visible.

Lttle bit of doodling this morning. I don'tt like to paint, my hands aren't as steady as they used to be. But this little guy has been sitting on the shelf for a looooong time. I used a fine brush and the paint available in my stash and...

Okie Dokie, I had to investigate that. Good old Wikipedia helped out. Ragnar Lothbrok, Vikig Hero, Swedish and Danish King.

BTW Grant I was addicted to Ragnar for all of the great seasons Vikings was on. It was also my motivation do do a Viking ship next.
