What is the little door in the gun port cover used for? Is it in the top or bottom of the cover?
I was thinking Spy ports also keep an eye on the enemy doors closed till you get in range that way it doesn't look threatening then once close enough throw open the cannon doors and let um have it lolMaybe spy ports,or peekaboo port, dunno really. Lol
I was planning to make a gun port linning ,when you close the gunport lids they would be flush with the planking.
This is just my thought. On the HMS ENDEAVOUR, they had these and it was air ports for ventilation.Maybe spy ports,or peekaboo port, dunno really. Lol
