Roter Löwe 1597 by Ondras71 - scala 1/60

Can you imagine climbing the ratlines on a stormy evening and then have to lean over backwards to negotiate the ladder futtock shrouds to get into the platform!
Rather disturbing thought for someone with a fear of heights.
During my military service, we had to descend a church tower backward. I wasn't exactly thrilled.

And the church tower wasn't rolling back and forth in 30 degree arcs...

Guessing you wouldn't enjoy/didn't do Military Freefall training Sick
Funny you say that. I actually enrolled in that course voluntarily. Maybe wanted the wings badge too much at the time. Never came to the point of jumping though as I had a motorcycle accident and had to look for an other career.

Very interesting debate, friends, I haven't enjoyed moving around in the rigging of a real ship yet..:D

Another component. Removable loading hoist "Stay tackle".

It was nicely discussed here by modeler Mati and the author of the book "The ships of Abel Tasman" Ab Hoving. https://shipsofscale.com/sosforums/...-1-48-completed-build.7055/page-2#post-159810

On the last day of the year, I wish all modelers a lot of peace in their construction, personal well-being and, most importantly, health until 2026. Ondras
