HMS Mercury, 1:72, Shipyard [COMPLETED BUILD]

It's done! The more than 1,200 knots on the first floor are knotted, all shrouds have their required rat-lines. Thumbsup

When I then grabbed the camera to capture everything in the picture, jumped my three best Topmaaten, these media hot guys, immediately in the shrouds. Okay, they're on the pictures again.

So, here comes eye food for you! And Lucky Jack also enjoys my ship. (Even if he does not show it that open - but I know him well, you know ...;))

And as always: sorry for terribly sounding English - I use the Google Translator ... I just hope that it becomes clear what I wanted to tell you. :D

I present you the first demolition action of the new year! But see for yourself: The two round logs (in German: Butluvspieren, in English ???) do not have the same height. And by attaching the rat-lines, I accidentally pulled it, and you see, that would not last much longer.

So away with it!M827.jpg
Now you can look the Mercury in the eye again.

Hey Brother,
Excellent job at fixing the, "Boomkin". You are correct as well Sir, in that now you can look at her in the eye. Its like a female co-worker I work with, being cross-eyed, I don't know which eye to look at so I just stare at her nose when I talk to her. Yes I know, there is a special place for me in hell. LOL

Hello everyone, there has been a lot happening on my shipyard in the last few days. I'm just worried that the Google Translator does not manage to translate that meaningfully, which I have everything to report. I just show you my pictures and hope they are self-explanatory. There was a problem with the back stays. The construction manual showed only one standing back stay, but it must be two. One for the topmast, one for the topgallant mast. and the "flying back stay" also needs to be grown. So I had the little channel - stool? - tear down and build a new one. But now everything is as it should be.
The stag is also attached; the top mast of the mizzen is now almost complete. I'm about to install the rat-lines. I will show that tomorrow.M836.jpgM837.jpgM838.jpgM839.jpgM846.jpgM847.jpg
