This is really looking good - question (as usual from my side - sorry for this):
Due to the fact, that these ropes are permanently exposed to the sea-water I would have thought, that such ropes are tarred, so black? But I am not sure about this.....
You are probably right, but I was guided by the work of others masters and in the vast majority of cases the ropes are not dark. So I've decided to make them light.
The minimum diameter of thread was 0,32mm that i got from the material i had, this was the one that I used for the ratlines.
I binded using the simple pattern.
I made the studding sail yard too thick. After getting remarks from experienced Master - I remade them thinner, I hope now they have the right thickness.
