1/30 HMS Royal Caroline Build

WIP----

Hello everyone, everywhere. I am still working on assorted items on the Forecastle. I went ahead and completed the 4 Aft Swivel Gun Mounts since I was already shaping/making the octagon post. I decided to install a horizontal plank on the Forecastle aft edge for the Ships Bell Rails and the rail stanchions as shown in the AOS drawings (nothing glued down as of these pictures). Another change I made was on the Upper Chimney Stack---- A lot of folks don't realize the Upper Chimney Stack is/was designed to be removed for weather/maintenance reasons & was usually secured to the deck via tie-downs. I installed 2 copper eyelets on each side of the Funnel & 2 tie-down deck eyelets and will install the tie-down ropes at a later time. More to come.....................

Very accurate and precise work - Bravo!
One question about the coppered chimney - how did you make this one? It is great looking
Thank you for the kind words. The kit provides a solid pre-shaped chimney that I cut down and altered in order to achieve a more close approximation to the one shown in AOS and on the original draught copies I have. After the alteration and carefully drilling out the core, I covered the chimney with self adhesive copper tape.

I love Bruno as much as I do your work!! I'm sure the future of both are in very good hands!:)
